I received a call this morning which was very disturbing, i said hello, and the reply i got was "I m going to kill you" then hung up Really how bloody rude can you get??????????????? worth reporting to the police I think.

Complete pests. They call every other day, sometimes every day. National database ... boiler grants ... blah, blah. I m making a complaint to Data Protection and Ofcom now.

To the guy who gave a positive review: cold calling private numbers is a major problem. Even If you did get a good deal on your insurance, these people have no right to be calling people randomly and trying to sell. It s an invasion of privacy, full stop.

They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.

Another call purporting to be from Virgin Media saying my security is at risk. I put the phone down but telling them beforehand that I was putting the phone down.

Got a message from this number.

Got a missed call from this number today, thought it may be a friend in the UK but when i rang back it said it was out of service. Anyone know how this is possible? And what is it all about?

Scam call , Indian woman claiming to be from BT regarding my BT internet line , told her to F-ck off get a proper job !

Asian sounding guy, rabbiting at speed about who I was and telling me my details, barely caught a word, then says BT will call to save me money on my Telephone and Broadband, then hung up immediately, never asked was I interested in any possible savings, not even the basic pleasantries of asking how I was etc... Just quick fire rabbit rabbit rabbit, BT will call me, click, all I can say is, if this was anything to do with BT, they are now less likely to be getting my business than they were before.

Asked for me by name and claimed to be from Hear to Help. They asked if anyone had ever worked in a noisy environment. I asked where they got my number from and they said The British Data Company. This is what I ve been told in the past when I ve had the same type of phone call from The Hearing Clinic. I told them I was on the TPS and they said it was their first time calling me. I refused to answer their questions and they hung up.

Missed call . No message left. Now i will block...thanks

Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. Got charged £1.75 from this number for something I had not sighned up too now i have to cancell it. Tried calling 3 times and always busy no one has called me back

I received a call saying I had won a photoshoot worth ?250 for myself and a friend. I never enter these sort of competitions so was suspicious. The lady tried to get me to make a booking but said I could change it at a later date if needed. I refused to commit and said I needed more time. She offered to ring back after the weekend but stressed that there may not be any more places left!

I did not answer this call - too busy - but when I checked later I learned from another site that the criminals were at work again, pretending to be from Talk Talk and claiming there was an internet problem. Their only aim is to dangerously infect computers and steal information.
