Calling 5 or 6 times per week I gives one the chance to be removed from their list but could be a scam.

Overseas female called to say computers in house are receiving malware and asked to log in. She rang off when i asked how she got the house number, asked why exactly she wanted computer access and informed that i am a government investigator. in my experience this caller was not legitimate

who is this number they ring but never leave messages

Dean keeps calling and leaving messages to return his call quoting a case reference number. He fails to mention the company he s calling from or what the call is about.

Scammers trying to sell telephone preference services to stop nuisance calls.. They have some of my debit card data and attempted to confirm security numbers on back for security reasons. When I asked them to provide a number I could call them back on, they were unable to provide one. Do not give any information to these people. This is a known scam.

I too received a call at a funeral at 1020 this morning about so-called PPI, when asked how they got a ex directory number, they were reluctant to answer their source. I informed them a complaint will be submitted for their harrassment, I have also sent a letter to the BBC Panorama. programme who are investigating companies under various names. Has called more than once. Says things like ?and how do you know your life insurance isn?t now up for review? to try and fish for information regarding when your life insurance is up for review to make them sound legitimate. Also said ?we?re not dodgy, I think it is cause of the Welsh accent people often assume I?m from a call centre?. Hung up when I told him I was at work. I think they guess who you have life insurance with so they sound legit. They call around once a month.
