FrI was caught out by this today. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. They applied just enough pressure when the texts to change my account detail came in that I didn't have time to read them properly. Thankfully, I read them after the call and got straight on to O2 to change

Clear scam. they have called 9 times in 48 hours, they knew who provided my services which was great as i actually work for my ISP. asking for different people in the property when they speak to me they ask for a Mrs Wilson, when my husband answers they ask for a Mr Wilson. Fraud Call centre, pretend to be "running security" for Virgin Broadband, call to say they have "seen problems on the line". When I told them I wasn't on Virgin, they waffle on about how they do the security for all broadband suppliers, because Virgin supplies the lines for them all. I told them I was on Grain, and then they just imediately hung up. Obvious fraud scam.

I have also been scammed by these guys and I am furious! I have reported them to Action Fraud, but called my bank and they said there was nothing they could do to get m money back. Is it still worth calling trading standards?
Fraud. Recorded voice claimed to be Amazon Prime and said I had been charged 79.99 and if that wasn't me to press 1 on my phone keypad. As Prime is actually £79 for a year, I terminated the call and blocked the number.
