We have also just had this scam call, claiming to be from BT trying to remote fix our broadband. As BT have confirmed, they DON'T call customers as - ironically - they wait for us to contact them about faults.

I received a call from someone who said she was from an indecipherable (!) company who was going to check I had the cheapest phone line rate. She said she had a few simple questions about my current phone line. When I asked again who she was working for, she replied she would put me through to " one of our lovely advisers". In order to avoid fees please update your information via...’ then it gave a link to an https address (looked like Vodaphone but too much else to be valid, I think). I haven’t progressed this, I don’t have anything outstanding with Vodaphone, but just be aware. I will be forwarding this to Vodaphone’s phishing area.

Just got a call from this number on our landline, saying it was from 'Solutions' and then 'Solutions Marketing' (when I pushed the lady further for information). They had my wifes name, the 1st line of our address (at least) and said that they wanted to 'save us money on our broadband/telephone'.
