Yet another dreary attempt by an asian male calling with a scam, after my stern demands he claimed to be from "The Call Guardian Service". I said 'great, take me off your list' as it was just a ploy to get my details (to sell on) and then access to my money.

Accepted call and was greeted with friendly How are you today. BUT then went on to ask if I had heard of an IVA. Said yes and asked how they had my number. The reply was they were ringing on behalf of the government to stop people paying excessive credit charges. Asked them to remove my number. Staff member shirty said she had not spoken to me before and just wanted to know my circumstances. Is this one big scam? My mobile is blocked and number hidden so where do they get the information?
