SCAM call from a man with Asian accent who said he was BT Openreach. I asked him if there was a problem with my BT internet. He said yes, how did I know that? I said well why else would you be phoning me? He said it's been running very slow for the last few days to which I replied that it's come to a complete stop because I don't have BT internet. I then told him to do something that I won't repeat and hung up.

Was the usual boilers on benefits call. I engaged for a short time, he asked about anyone being on benefits/pension credits etc. and what type of heating I have. I said wife is on benefits and on gas. Getting excited now he "helped" me put that into, wife is on ESA and the house runs on LPG gas and is 20 years old. Female automated voice ‘Hi, this is your reminder that your Amazon Prime subscription has been auto-renewed and you have been charged seventy nine nine nine’ (No currency mentioned!) Press 1 to cancel, press 2 for any other queries. Identical call to one I had from this dialling code last week.

Woman with a foreign accent called purporting to be from British Telecom and referring to my Internet connection. I did not let her proceed any further and indicated that I did not have the Internet. She apologised and turn up. I tested the number and it it does not exist, according to the message. Another scam I suspect.

Possible SCAM / SPAM - this man called saying he was the allocated shopper for my sister and that he had a box of 32 items for her. Accent difficult to understand. My sister already has someone allocated to do her shopping so checked with the council who have no record of him. It may be genuine but people need to take care.

SCAM: I think it must be a scam number because he said he was calling from Carphone Warehouse which has since disbanded. he jumped in with another 'even better offer' before I'd even rejected the 1st offer. I didn't get a chance to reject any offer though as they spoke so fast with a thick accent, that I couldn't understand what was being said. I then asked him to repeat & he said 'bye' & hung up... Anyone reporting this number as dangerous is a Swansea University staff member forwarding their office phone calls to their personal mobile phone, as the calls will appear as if they were from the university when the staff member receives the call. This is a Swansea University switchboard number.

Just had this number call (Liverpool code, with non-geographical sub-code 808) - but I never pick up the phone. Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will now be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. This explains the silent treatment from any real person (low-lifeform) at the other end. Let the phone ring until the other end gets fed up and ends the call, then dial 1471 and note down the number. Google it to see what scum has tried
