I had 16 phone calls from this number (Clinic Compare, part of lasik-eyes) over the space of 5 days asking for me by name because I made an inquiry into laser eye surgery online. They are a waste of time as they want your details to match you with a laser eye clinic. As soon as I said I d already made appointments with other companies she virtually put the phone down on me.

When I answered the call a man said he was calling from a security company which installed alarms etc - I said I was not interested and he said ok and I switched off phone. It was to my mobile number which I have only given to friends and family - cannot understand how I am now getting calls on this phone mainly from phones which appear to be in the North of England. Lots of times no-one answers but equally I do not answer most of them as presume they are scams

As I had a car accident in the last week my insurance company had referred me to an injury claim solicitor (one who does a lot of advertising on TV) so I thought this was them until I was passed to a supervisor who then proceeded to say "I understand you have been involved in an accident in the last two years". SCAM 01227631995 - had a call from this number claiming to be from Amazon regarding a Gift Casrd purchase for £49+ made supposedly by me from an address in London. Having never bought a gift card nor having anything to do with this address I told the caller so, and also said that this is a scam call, to which he hung up. I have had several similar calls to this one for varying amounts and each time I am quoted the same London address. Clearly this is a scam and should be avoided at all costs.
