Cold calling about fictitious car accident
Signed up £1.00 and later 79.99 was taken out which I was surprise. Rang the company to refund were I did not sign up for anything but was told u have 14 days to cancel and could not refune. They also had not posted no vouchers worth 79.99, twice and third time but still anything. Now have taken legal advice and working towards getting money back or my vouchers. This company is a fraud and have leaned next the to be more carefully.

Just got the call as well. I called back and got through to a voicemail saying the "officer" is not available and I should leave a message. Then couldn't leave voicemail cause mailbox was full. SCAM!!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181895xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with Accident Department, Microsoft rep, MCM Solicitors from Manchester, road traffic accident, PPI... Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

I assume it was an automated call from some seller and that the call was dropped because those companies employ systems that phone multiple numbers from their sales telephone lists and when calls are connected they switch them through to their sales reps or similar. Got Lloyds bank text saying they will SMS about my card then this no texted to ask about a transaction with yes or no. Said no as not done then got replied back to call on a no. Which I checked first then called and was lloyds bank fraud line. Found there was 3 unknown transaction done today which I confirmed and they said they will chase this and cancel and send new card. Always good to precheck. From checking here, it seems to be from some other banks too.
