Getting a lot of calls from Scottish numbers that put the phone down after 2 seconds

On checking with O2 the above number and caller WAS a genuine call from O2. Apologies O2.

Call asking to speak to my wife about an accident she had within the last 2 and a half years which is rubbish. I ask where they got there information from they said O it's ...

Next step money. PPI scammers. Just block number. If persist report to TPS.

Keep calling saying I have had a road traffic accident within the last3 months. Certainly not Cornish accents on the other end of the phone. Starting to get me down now.

This number was calling every 10 minutes. Called back and it said SMSR research company and told me the steps to get removed from their phone list - which takes up to 7 days

I got a call at work and a female welsh voice said `I understand you are under 60 years old and therefore you qualify for a pensions bonus payment of £1,000 which you will receive within the next 60 days. Please press 5 to speak to us". Presumably yet another scam to try and get bank details or name and address

Called my landline - no msg left so now shall block the number

They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.
