Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. Phoned at 13.20 29 April purporting to be from Halifax Fraud department stating there had been suspect activity on my account and requesting various card details in order to cancel the transactions. I called the Halifax Fraud number and cancelled my card.
