Normally they offer to renew at a discount if you give them your card details. NEVER give out personal details or bank details to anyone who phones you. If in doubt find the phone number you want from an independent source and phone them.

I received calls from people saying your number is showing up on their caller ID, it's likely that that my number has been spoofed by scammers. I don't have a business or anything like that. I believe the email I received regarding a BT bill is a scam like several previous ones as the address is not a BT one. This is the phone number quoted in the email.
