Received a text message from this number allegedly about a delivery by EVRI - as I am expecting a delivery (from DHL) I precipitately clicked on the link which read; EVRI(UK10094786). Out of curiosity I navigated to the EVRI website and entered a combination of the above and the full set. EVRI did not recognize it any of it. I accidentally clicked the link in the text message sent which read rebook (dot) info-96 (dot) com ("to select a new slot" as they put it). My mistake! the page that open

Had this number call a few times, yes it's part of Halifax but it's one of many of their areas - it could be birmingham midshires mortgage. It's not a scam. The reason you can't call the number back is it's a number set up not to accept incoming calls - many banks/mortgage companies etc have them now adays. Yes sometimes it's an Asian person, sometimes it's an English person - I'd love to know how you know though that they're muslim! Just because you can't call the numbeer back doesn't = scam. Had a call at 11.25 today from this number with an Indian sounding man telling me that my computer had been compromised at around 01:00 this morning and they wanted more information from me so that they could investigate the hacker. He gave his address as British Telecom and, since I don't have an account with them, I thought is sounded very like a scam. The fact that the call seems to have come from India made me very suspicious.
