Fraud Indian call centre for bank frauds. Try to get card numbers and run up transactions which they tell you are 'cancelling frauds' but you are being tricked into allowing the payments. They have the old BT customer database, so have names, addresses and bank details from 10+ years back

Answering machine picked up the call, they didn't leave message. I tried to call it back but it says number not recognised, suspect was some sort of spam call masking as a local number
I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! SCAM Recorded voice saying that my bank account had been requested to pay Amazon £700 and some other organisation £2000!! Press 1 to authorise, and 2 to speak to a customer representative. I declined both options and checked my account online to find, surprise, surprise, there were no such transactions.

Scammer with automated message stating it was my bank.. Claimed a transfer of £600 had been blocked to western union and asking me to dial 1 to connect to an operator. I hung up as I don't even have £600 and checked with my online banking for any alerts. Nothing there.
Claimed to be from currys PC World but hung up Would say this was more dangerous than annoying based on another review. Obviously a scam caller and could easily be believed by an older or vulnerable person.

SCAM!! Leasing Airbnb properties (advertised on FB marketplace) that do not exist!! Cleverly they've linked their web page up to Airbnb's page so when you look for support, it will take you to the legit page, but the booking page is a complete scam! It'll reject your payment when you confirm your booking and offer you the option to do a wire transfer. The scammer will give you "Airbnb's bank details" (confirmed by an agent, Airbnb do NOT have a bank account) to place your deposit into.
