These people pretend to be calling from Microsoft, telling you they have detected a virus on your computer, and if you don t let them help you and follow their instructions your computer will break down, they generally call you back if they feel you fit their demographic, which is elderly and vulnerable. They want access to your computer, do not tell them anything, report them.

this is a marketing company if you call the number back and press one they will remove you from their lists

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable.
