I called the number someone called Tom answered and then hung up. I was then diverted to another number 01259 333 035 in Alloa, Scotland. This 2nd number had called me yesterday too. It seems suspicious.

Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

SCAM This person rang me 3 times one after the other. He said he was from an investment firm and I stopped his spiel as soon as I heard that. He became extreme belligerent when I told him I wasn't interested and to remove my details from his list. Machine called, purporting to be my bank and telling me about two recent transactions in my bank. I was offered to press 2 to speak to an advisor, which I did and a woman answered (Asian accent) " 'allo, 'allo" then "can I help you authorise you bank account?". I declined. My bank knows nothing of this. So - this number is obviously using technology to try and get access to people's bank accounts.
SCAM says his name is Michael although spoke with a foreign voice. Said not interested and hung up but he rang back 3 times.
Spam call supposedly from carphone warehouse. I said "I have no contract with carphone warehouse" - and the guy replies "oh, that's ok that's ok, I'm not selling you anything. I just wanted to call and tell you that I love you so much, and I want to marry you". At which point I'd hung up.
