I believe this number is a scam, here is the text I received: PayPal: A new device just signed into your account, if this was not you please follow our secure link and unlock your account now: https://pp-unblock.com/ Instead of opening the link on my phone I tried to open it on my computer first, my browser blocked it of threat of installing dangerous software. This message was sent during the Christmas period making it very suspicious for it's normally the time scams try to take advantage of people.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1617685xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, life insurance - insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new?

Wanted me to log onto my computer to help me fix a problem which I refused. Said they would call back in 10 mins to get me to log in and i told them no. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers) - can be something different and legitimate, but srry I'm always suspicious considering numbers for shared rate. I recommend to block the whole 0845286xxxx range... Did someone answer this number?
