I called them from another phone number and could hear it was a busy call centre and they answered hello this is Jon at Expert Renewables - have you had a missed call from us? Number was 0151 281 5034, Liverpool, England. Said they were from HMRC and if I didn’t press 1 to continue with call, a warrant would be issued in my name. I hung up. If they were genuinely from HMRC they would not call you like this. I hate to think what would have happened if I had continued with the call, obviously trying to scam me for money. Please don’t fall for this. PUT THE PHONE DOWN.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1612497xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with financial services, PPI, insurance claims, loans. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
