I'm guessing spam - didn't let them get far to find out as I kept quizzing them about who they were and never confirming who they are supposed to be talking to. Said they were from a company called something like brnza (couldn't quite understand the accent) saying they want to email me something on behalf of Dell and they read out an email address they wanted me to confirm (which of course I wouldn't). I basically said this call is unauthorised, I refuse you to email me anything and do not call me again.

Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. This company claims to be an Escrow service provider. IT IS NOT - check out the registration numbers with HMRC, FCA and Companies House. The “parent” has been dormant since 2019. Do a Whois lookup of the domain name - you will probably see that the website went live in the last few days / weeks
