I've been contacted by 5 other similar numbers all starting with '020806843**', male voice said "hello, hellloooo" and then my name before hanging up. I'm blocking all the numbers but they're changing the last two digits. Harassing behaviour and more than likely some type of scam.

A cold call to protect myself against unwanted calls. Ironically, the callers are already. Unfortunately - for the caller - I already have a good working unit and blocking those numbers immediately.

I was called by someone called Chelsea from carephone who offered me an upgrade phone. She also gave me the number 08448933933 if I had any problems. I did receive the phone but didnt like it. I phoned the number and gave up after 57 minute being on hold. SCAM. 0710721862 called. Began asking whether gas boiler due for update. Iliterate - could not read his obvious script - English is clearly not first language. When I was asked the age of the boiler I said it was installed 9 months ago. He did not understand and got confused. I suggested he went back to school and he hung up. Could be attempt at identity theft or something more sinister. Number now blocked.

Missed call from this number which left voicemail, very heavy African accent, female automated voice, sounded a bit garbled. Said someone was "filing a lawsuit against you, press one now to talk to your caseworker" I ve heard of this scam doing the rounds, I ve now blocked this number and registered it with "Should I answer" app as dangerous scam.

I had a Call earlier and no-one spoke so I hung up then added them to the Voicemail List on my Phone, but then they managed to Call again! Maybe my Phone can t take so many contacts which go to Voicemail, and I don t use Voicemail.
He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. This guy said he was from vancompare who I have actually used before. Quite confusing but almost certainly a scam. The guy was South African
