Caller asked to speak to person responsible for registering the company. When I asked what it was regarding he told me it was "about exactly that". Replied we don t take cold calls and hung up.

The caller hung up after 2 rings, I called back and heard the network message "You have dialled an incorrect number..." Obviously a scam from scum losers.

I answered and the line went dead.

thay calld ask if i was who i was when i said yes thay wud not say wot thay want till i said my address and date of birth..so told them no and put phone down

Called twice a day for last week....I answered this time and asked caller why he had not left message on answer machine as he was obviously needing to speak to me...he promptly hung up.

Rang out left no message

Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.

I m the MD that one person above is keen to tell everyone about. We identify our phone line (an 01422 number) and my mobile is also clear for all on our company website. I do this as we have nothing to hide. We operate strictly by the Market Research Society guidelines. We do not call anyone outside the hours of 9.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday or during the day on a Saturday. We sometimes call on a Sunday between 10am and 5pm depending on work volumes.
