I was asked to call the number for a validity check. Number rings and then when answered goes quiet. My number is withheld, so that s why they will not talk. These are Agents, probably working for Energy Consultants. The prices they get for you will include a significant commission. They will lie and harass you into agreeing contracts. Received a call from this number today, and also had a missed call for the last 3 days. Once connected it has a few seconds of silence, a nice clear sign its unsolicited but I thought I d wait and see who they were. This is a scam where they pretend to be BT and will give you te above number to call with an id code to verify their authenticity. They tell you they want to shut down your Broadband for 5 days due to errors - blah blah. Probably after they will try to get access to your pc in some way. Don t know cos I crashed out and phoned BT who said it was a scam.

Completely silent call. Searched Google for number and nothing found so obviously not legit!

Had a call saying they are a University Survey company that reviews student uni experience, knew my full name and uni that I attended, went on for about 15 minutes asking to rate my experience out of 10 etc. Not sure if legit or scam, but even then dont know what they would do with the info I provided
