Similar experience to Tuglet ... Caller claimed OH had been getting lots of nuisance calls, I said no, he never picks up the phone unless he knows the number and if our phone does not block them automatically, then I did and put the phone down. Now polite I know but expected the hard sell.

Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. Expecting a call again tomorrow as that?s what happened last time I told them not to call

Said it was BT calling about my Internet. Indian accent, phone number maybe from Australia according to the country code.

They keep phoning me and when I answer I get a loud beep before the calls cuts out.

Complete pests. They call every other day, sometimes every day. National database ... boiler grants ... blah, blah. I m making a complaint to Data Protection and Ofcom now.

They had the cheek to call me again - when I was busy of course - with their wretched recorded message saying it was not too late. I think they can be prosecuted for this harassment and dishonesty, pretending people have claims when they know nothing about whether they have or not, and be heavily fined. Had numerous calls from this company asking for us by name,They are a Home Insurance brokers. We have reported them as have TPS and they are making a continious nuisance of themselves.
