Called and asked my name but hung up almost immediately

Obviously don t look at TPS lists.

A Google search suggests that it might be to do with personal alarms, this is the number that calls the people listed as emergency contacts for the person.

We do not know anyone in the Middlesbrough area and the caller did not leave a message. We usually receive Amazon scams around this time so are blocking the number.

I too received a call at a funeral at 1020 this morning about so-called PPI, when asked how they got a ex directory number, they were reluctant to answer their source. I informed them a complaint will be submitted for their harrassment, I have also sent a letter to the BBC Panorama. programme who are investigating companies under various names. NUmber appears to be from a company alled DeVere's. A financial services company who offer finnancial services such as wealth planning, tax optimisation schemes, moving final salary pensions to tax shelters abroad, etc. I have had no personal dealings with the company and cannot comment on their service. I was cold called. I assume they saw that I was a former employee of a blue chip company and they offered to move my final salary pension abroad. They could be perfectly legitimate, I cannot say.

This number is compare insurance called me several times this week and I have now blocked the number

Rude woman, pushy wouldn t state purpose trying to get you to confirm who you are and would not provide info on who she was or why calling. Tries to beat you in to giving info by repeatidly asking who you are. Do not trust this call - she only said Next stop but refused to provide what type of company
