Claimed it was EE, but I suspect this is most likely a SCAM call centre due to the line of questioning and the fact they simply hung up on me when they weren't getting the response they were looking for.

Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.
