Scam: sent me WhatsApp saying Hi then pretend they mistakenly contacted me. This person went on to attempt to befriend me, going as far as saying we can travel together and they will pay. Obviously the warm up for the scam to come.

Had two calls today. Heavy breathing, puts the phone down. Very noisy background (apart from Darth Vader sound) I m also registered not to receive unsolicited calls. These twerps must have fallen through a rail.

They rang me regarding a survey I had completed, as I fill in loads of surveys I believed this to be true. They said I had won a £20 fuel voucher and gave a lot of information regarding how I can spend it etc. However they then went onto talk about how I could be part of their membership, which costs £79! SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. Believe that this is Sky - we cancelled our subscription 3 months ago and they ve pestered me from this number relentlessly ever since, trying to tempt us back. No chance. Cancelling Sky was the best thing I ever did! £90 extra a month in my pocket and no Sky Sports on constantly (sorry, Husband). WOO!

These people are scammers who target elderly vulnerable people. They cold called my mother who has dementia, despite her being registered with the TPS. They talked her into completely unnecessary cover for a washing machine for £225 pounds. This seems to be their MO as I have now seen it on numerous forums about them. This is now in the hands of her banks fraud team.

Scam - amazon confirming an order for hundreds of pounds, press 1 of you did not make this order. (we didn't press 1!) then went dead....
Claimed to be from Amazon and that someone had attempted to purchase about £500 of goods on my account. I hung up, put the number on my BT blacklist and checked my Amazon account which was OK.
