This was a call from Pell & Bales on behalf of the NSPCC asking me to increase my monthly DD contribution.
Silent call Left a number so was not anonymous but hung up.
I know it happened back in March but I received a text message from this number back then which had my first name on it. I’d say it’s a scam.

Calls to our (call screened, not on BT) number from 0800 044 5265. No message left, multiple attempts on multiple days. Calling that 0800 number says they are Stellar a partner of BT, and to call BT on 0800 028 2272. Don t bother if you aren t on BT. They ll tell you "you aren t on BT, we have no record of you!". Useless. A websearch for Stellar suggests 01294 225300. Calling that number: 1) they confirm the 0800 044 5265 caller ID is them calling on behalf of BT. 2) They ll remove our number from

Impressive customer service I had problems with a meter that was not working which meant I had no electricity for workmen who were meant to be working on the site. Pete, the manager, worked tirelessly to fix the problem. He called me when he said he would on more than one occasion and went way beyond the call of duty. Anyone reporting this number as dangerous is a Swansea University staff member forwarding their office phone calls to their personal mobile phone, as the calls will appear as if they were from the university when the staff member receives the call. This is a Swansea University switchboard number.

SCAM - Call centre, once you pick up and speak it goes through to a very busy call centre. Indian sounding gentleman, only knew my first name, I asked who was calling and he claimed "NHS vaccination programme" at which point I told him he was lying and to stop scamming people, he hung up.
