Called to say they had heard I had been in an accident which was not my fault. Complete scam

I had a call from this as well. I did answer and they asked for my husband. I said they had the wrong number and put the phone down but it was an indian sounding man so obviously a foreign call centre. Dont ring them back even if you get through as sometimes you may get charged for the call.

Text message claiming to be Lloyds bank asking me to confirm a new payee on my account and asking me to click on a link. As I don't have an account with Lloyds and as I greatly doubt they would contact customers from a mobile number, I assume this to be a scam.

A very friendly / charming guy said called and asked if id filled in a baby and mum survey, which I had last year. ...they've called me three or four times this morning, silence on the other end, so I guessed it was a scam. Went out and came back to a message from 0800 668 1755 with instructions to call 'to have your details removed from our system'. Assume it's the same people, but I'm nervous about calling the 0800 number in case it's an added built-in scam of some sort. Any advice please???
