Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. Scammers/liars/phishing. Calling TPS registered numbers, insurance scam insisting they have details of a non existent car accident.

Have rung me twice after I've spoken to 2 different people requesting they no longer call me and had them confirm my details had been removed from their system.

If they would speak and say what they were calling for,
