I left this comment on the Voxbone SA Scam Number function, which is apart of their website. Number seems to possibly be a missed call scam of a 0845 number. The number calls at around exactly the same time everyday, and leaves a voicemail that is completely blank. The idea of the scam is to make the mobile owner not pick up, but cost them on their next bill. Even though the caller did not initiate the call, the phone company will state they did. It looks as though they re back at work after the Holidays... received a call from SAM (who sounds American(?)) Said he was from Consumer Refunds or something! He asked for Mr Charles . I told him he had the wrong number to which he asked if I was the owner of the number. I asked if he was on to sell anything, I m not interested. Usual bull about he s not selling, but.... then went on to say crap about refunds and payment protection . Told him not to bother going any further as I really was not

Scam. Said they were from sky and I may have offers, tried to get me to have fibre broadband. I stupidly gave my address, email etc. Just contacted sky & it appears that it’s not one of their numbers. There’s a recording if you ring the number back that does say it’s a recording on behalf of sky. Just be careful not to give any details.

Another con trying to do business over the phone. Who in their right mind is going to do anything with a stranger over the phone? She said, very politely "I m sorry to bother you I won t be long." My reply was, I m sorry too, and you are right you will not be long." And hung up. She was lucky she did not get the usual abuse I reserve for such calls!

A man with a very strong accent (difficult to understand) spoke about iPhones. I asked where he got my number from and he said 'from your provider, Vodaphone'. I'm not with Vodaphone so I told him that's untrue and he must be lying. He then proceeded to call me a liar - twice! Bizarre phone call. Potentially trying to gain personal data. Blocked.
