They called me but hung up before they told me who they are. After checking the tellows website, I still decided to ring back to find out who they claim to be. It sounded like an automated response, and probably just the start of a voice mail message, but they said they are: Home Shield Direct I have never heard of this company before; they might be trying to cold call me for a sale. I am not interested; I seek out what I want. This is a harassment call.

A very well spoken lady, named Aliza, has called my mother several times from this telephone number trying to pressure her into buying a cover that she does not need but supposed to already have. My mother is old and gets frightened if she thinks she has not paid a bill. I took over one of the calls. Rings twice then stops - like at least 20 others. They expect you to call them back - don’t. You can block them from calling you if they come through to your mobile.

Rang claiming to be from BT. Stated that our internet would be disconnected for 4 days and that he needed access to our computer to "rewire" a temporary connection free of charge to bridge the gap. I m an IT consultant and so strung him along for a while to waste his time, then told him what I did for a living. He hung up. Not sure where the money angle was going to come from, but guarantee that they would have either infected my PC or tried to scam me out of money for a fake support contract.
