I’ve just called O2 myself (202 is free from your O2 mobile) after becoming concerned about the level of my account information the person on the 0330 number had access to while offering me deal on an Alcatel tablet. The lovely lady I spoke to at O2 called the number herself and went through security checks which confirmed they are genuine, O2 authorised calls.

They didn t even specify what kind of account nor did they ever identify the company they were calling from.
