Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. Keep sending hateful messages and aren’t anyone I know. If someone could do something about it, it would be nice! They also sent links to dodgy gore websites and luckily I have a VPN. Otherwise I would have got a virus.
The caller had a very thick south Asian accent and claimed to be from "my network" - I didn't catch which one - and that I could benefit from an "offer". I cut the call and blocked the number.
