I was called from this number this morning claiming to be from my bank. It was a recorded message and not a ‘live’ caller. I was informed there were two suspect transactions from my account and, if they weren’t from me, I should press 1 on my keypad. I hung up immediately, checked my bank account and saw that the transactions didn’t exist so I assume that this was an attempted scam.

Scam call regarding bank security saying that two unusual payments had been made from my account. If I wished to cancel these suspicious payments then press 1.
Fraud On Caller Display, this number looked like a London exchange. On answering, I got a recorded message saying it was something to do with bank security, followed by a message that was intended to frighten. I hung up, and have blocked the number. Others receiving calls like this might be taken in. What can be done to stop them?

Missed call so rang back to find out what the call was all about. Had some rude Asian man answer the phone who told me my loan application had been APPROVED......Interesting because I hadn't made one with 'Now Loan' I proceeded to ask questions...this irritated the idiot on the phone who SHOUTED at me! I don't know who called as I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message on my answerphone. I never answer calls from unknown numbers as they're usually either a scam or trying to sell me something I don't want. If it's an important call and they really need to speak to me then they would probably leave a message. I live Manchester area and there's no reason for anyone from London area to contact me.

Rang my mobile which was in other room so rang off before I could answer. I rarely get spam on it as very few people know the number. Wondering how these got hold of it.

Claimed to be able to save me money on my mobile phone bill. Claimed originally to be from EE, but that isn't my provider, he then argued with me about my provider - he eventually hung up. I always keep them talking as much as possible to save the next poor victim.

This number just rang and a man's voice said he was from visa fraud so I hung up.
Person claimed to be a SG citizen born but raised in Liverpool UK and works for ExxonMobil. So not sure if this is a scammer.
I don't know who this person is but they tried to video call me on What'sApp.

Poor reception where I was when I answered so they couldn't hear me, but they knew my name, eventually they hung up. I rang the number back later and immediately heard an automated message saying my custom was important to them and I would be answered by the next available agent but no-where in the message did they reveal who they were so hung up.

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

SCAM - has to be. This number called me today. I do not answer unrecognised numbers. They left a voice mail, foreign voice, couldn't really pick up on everything said, voice was quite deep. They did say I needed to make a payment and to answer emails. Up until this mornings call I had had no emails asking for payment - not that I would answer them anyway. email in my Inbox purporting to be from Bulb (My Energy Company) - I have a DD with them they would not act in this way = DELETED !
