SCAM - they pretened to be from Carphone Warehouse, but it's not genuine - the email they sent is similar, but misspelled on purpose. Dont give them any of your details!

It went to voicemail and an automated voice left a message saying that there had been some suspicious activity on my Amazon account to the amount of £1,400+ and that my account would be locked and I should press 1 or 2 to sort this out. Obviously I didn't. I've checked my account due to receiving the same message from a mobile number a couple of days before and it's fine.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. As I am with virgin I went along with it initially, but it rang warning bells as was to my work internet phone number (working from home atm).
