Has anyone reported this number to BT or Virgin? They have a duty to investigate and disconnect landlines if they are causing harassment, alarm or distress. In some cases even prosecute. I have reported a few scammers and they and no longer exist. It wont' eradicate them completely as they will spring up again with another number but the more you inconvenience them and close the net the more likely they will give up. Remember, there are more law abiding people than there are scammers.

Upon answering a call on the land line around 18:30 this evening, the caller hung up so out of curiosity I dialled 1471 (UK), the call back service and I pressed 3 on my phone to be put directly through to the missed call number. I didn t catch the receivers company name but heard a American or maybe Canadian Man s accent and instructions for extension required. No name given, but my aunty has been getting calls from 01344720543 every hr on wed 6/6/18, the person was very rude and persistant in the details she was after, it was very distressing for my aunty who is 80yrs and has most recently lost her son.
