SCAM - A man called "Mark Ryan" claiming to be from Derby County Court with a High Court Writ out against your business for an unpaid amount of almost £4000. 4th March 2022 Called on my friends phone but hung up when I answered. My friend died three months ago and as executer for his estate I have his phone. Call log shows they also called on 22nd Feb 2022 but no message left so the number has been active for at least two weeks.

I played along to see what the method was and she asked me to download an app to my phone which would allow her to take control of it. Clearly looking to get people's account and card details too. This call was made from an extremely noisy office, where the background noise was so loud that I had real trouble hearing the person on the line. They offered to call back - and did so, but about an hour later. They said they were calling from my phone company about an upgrade, but when I asked them to confirm which phone company, the caller got very annoyed (raised voice) and defensive - and most importantly, couldn't tell me which phone provider asked them to call.
