Caller informed me they were from the UK Financial services and I was entitled to money from a loan I took out in 2006? When pressed on what bank they told me Lloyds and I've never had a loan or bank acc with them so they hung up!!! Could be a scam or just PPI.

Number called twice, purporting to be from Caernarfon. Hangs up on answering. In my experience this is an auto-dial check to make sure that a real person answers the number. I will no doubt be getting calls from the Indian subcontinent, with the caller using redirect software to make the call appear to be coming from the UK. Has been calling repeatedly and today was the first time I answered. It was a recording of a female voice. The message said that my national insurance number had been compromised due to fraudulent(?) activity. It went on to say that I should press 1 otherwise action will be brought against me. I didn’t press 1 and hung up.
