Looks like the caller came from Worcester coming from a subway café in that area just off the A38 automated voice said it was forwarding a BTelecom message very odd, hung up immediately

This is a market research company. This is how market research is done. In the call I took, the company were canvassing opinion for the HSE, this is important work. If you ignore their call they will presume that you are not available and call back again. If you don't want to take the call, just tell the caller that you are not interested in taking part in the survey. They won't call you back. Silent call
A male called saying his name was Chris and that he was calling about my Dyson. I told him he must have a wrong number. He then said "Do you not have a Dyson". When told "No", he apologised and rang off. I assume a marketing scam of some kind.
Claimed to be from EE offering a special deal but when asked to verify that she was from EE she hung up. Must be a scam or would not have hung up like that.
