Caller claimed to be from "my network" - his accent was difficult to understand, so I failed to hear what the network was. I terminated the call and blocked the number. Clearly a scam!

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. Just had a call from this number. He said he was from 3 and was offering me an upgrade for my phone and cheaper monthly payments. I asked him to confirm the first line of my address and he said, you should know it and put the phone down.

Call pretending to be HMRC threatening legal action unless one speaks to an agent by pressing the number one. I did not do that as I suspect that would then be charged at an exorbitant rate.

This mobile number rang me today 16th may 23 then when I called it back the number came back unrecognised. Either a one way number ie one that can call you but you can’t call them back. Or possibly suspicious caller. Can’t use any headings above as I don’t know anything about this number yet.
