They called me but hung up before they told me who they are. After checking the tellows website, I still decided to ring back to find out who they claim to be. It sounded like an automated response, and probably just the start of a voice mail message, but they said they are: Home Shield Direct I have never heard of this company before; they might be trying to cold call me for a sale. I am not interested; I seek out what I want. This is a harassment call.

Claimed to be HMRC and that I owed money, they had actually called my parents address that I moved out of 4 years ago and left my mother very worried. They're trying to get people to pay back taxes using amazon vouchers. This is a con that seems to be spreading, when I questioned them they hung up!

SCAM saying HMRC have a tax fraud case against you. Very loud threatening automated message telling you you will be arrested soon if you don't press 1 to call them. Mobile number locator shows as being near industrial site off Mitton Road, Whalley near Blackburn. The intent is to scare vulnerable/older people into making contact, so as to gain access to their PC via remote access. HMRC are aware of this type of scam but I informed them anyway.
I asked where they called me from!? an Indian lady from Calfornia so they said. I asked them if they wanted to buy some fuji green eye wash, which confused them a bit.
