lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. I had a call from 08004118899 trying to persuade me to buy plan to cover a Hotpoint washing machine as according to them my warranty has expired. Since I have never registered this machine and I doubt the respected shop from which it was bought would give them my details I was suspicious of their company and proposed service. Looking at these comments it would appear I am correct in resisting their advances.

Same thing happened to me. They have called me 5 times in 3 days and although I answer they continue to hang up.
Have been called repeatedly by this number over past 2 weeks- they left a message on my answerphone saying "So you wanted to know about bloody contents cover". I called it back and wanted to make a complaint, but they wouldn t put me on to a manager and said they would call back again!!
