Guy with very strong Indian accent, calls within seconds of me posting an advert on Gumtree. Said he was from Victoria Insurance and that it was about my recent minor road traffic accident I reported a couple of days ago. Told him I ve never had an accident and hung up. Number now blocked. This is a NHS reminder call for a hospital appointment 2 weeks ahead of date. They woke me up at 10pm when I had just fallen asleep so are a nuisance call. They call several time before the date of appointment, they are a nuisance.

Fraud - Number is definitely NOT from the Russian Federation - It is a UK based mobile number running on the EE network. When answered, a very bad automated message advising that there has been fraud on your National Insurance Number. All assets will be suspended and you will be arrested! Very aggressive recorded message on my mobile from 02085646318 from a female saying I had criminal proceedings about to be actioned against me and to press 1 for more information. I did not of course. I am not is such a situation nor do I respond to incoming recorded messages. It was quite upsetting to have the call though, and could have been very frightening if a more fragile person had taken the call. I am aware legitimate people would not use such a method to contact anyone.

Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. The only way to get at these people is to go onto the Information Commisioner s website and report the number. If enough of us do this, they will investigate the number. There are very heavy fines for companies who do this. Report them every time you get a call - it is very easy to do.
