Called by 0845286 1446 at 1.38pm today, 25/07/2017. There was silence when I answered the phone - I said "hello" twice, then put the phone down. This is the first time I have been called by this calling centre - usually they have a 0203, or 0800 number. I thought cold calling was illegal ?

Im getting 5 calls a day from this number. I dont ever answer it. A few days ago I had to call lendingstream.co.uk on my mobile because they had a robot calling my landline several times a day after an ex-lodger who d taken a loan with them. My landline went straight to the robot hence used mobile. After calling lendingstream on my mobile I started getting 01267226769 calls. First time Ive had nuisance calls. SCAM Telephoned at 7.30am on a Saturday morning. Said they were from Microsoft and wanted me to check my computer and advised that my computer was being hacked. They wanted me to press the window button and the letter R and they would stop the hackers. I declined the offer.

Call tonight claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asking if I received cold calls. A man with an Asian accent on a crackly line in a call centre then informed me that my subscription was about to expire. Clearly a scam so I told him what I thought of him and hing up. The number is not registered - is it not time that the phone companues filtered calls from unregistered numbers to stop this sort of abuse as it is untraceable.
