SCAM- knew my name and said it was a very urgent call re a technical difficulty with my policy which meant my life assurance policy could not be renewed. I told him I wasn't interested in scams and hung up. He then tried to ring me back 5 times. I have now blocked the number.

I was informed that money had been stolen from my bank account. I was told to press 1 but decided to halt the call in case it was a scam. Getting in touch with my bank now.
Pieroth wines who I have never had any dealings with, from a scam competition for coca cola that immediately spawned daily scam calls from various numbers. I told them they would be flagged as a scammed, after which all the scam calls have stopped. Think very carefully before giving any useful details to these people. I would not trust them. At the very least they have proved to have no respect for data protection they either bought my phone number from a dodgy company or they are the dodgy company.

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Nothing to worry about. A fireman offered to install smoke alarms in town the other day & left them at my door as I wasn't in, and just wanted to check that I'd got them okay & if I'd installed them. Really good considering it was free.
