Genuine American Express call regarding a problem on my account. Usual security questions requested and were able to confirm I had emailed them. Not sure why other people have marked this number as SPAM, complete fools who make it harder for people to check numbers.

AMAZON SCAM told me I had a suspicious transaction on my account for £700 and to press ‘1’.

By the look of the searches being made now for this number it would appear that another scam is raising it's ugly head. Research shows that this is the area code for Banbridge, a suburb of Belfast and I most certainly do not have any connections with anyone in this area.No message left on answerphone so you can draw your own conclusions from that.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers, phishing for bank account details). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 08437243xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?

This number should be a landline from Manchester - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet, but similar numbers of the same range 1618148xxx are always marked as call centre - telemarketing, accident claims or surveys (market research). Just been called by this automated caller saying they are BT and internet line will be disconnected. It then goes on to give you a choice of press one or 2 to not be disconnected or to be disconnected. Doesn’t make sense if they are calling you to tell you it’s going to be disconnected then givie you the choice! Quite funny
