Chap with an Asian accent (Indian, Pakistani possibly). Knew my full name which concerned me. Said he was calling from "Credit Investigation Department" and that his records show I was currently paying off debts in my name (false). Told him to politely bugger off and remove my number from whatever database he was using. Complained to TPS.

When I asked them to give me details, they become more aggressive and sternly ask you to confirm you have been in an accident until they finally hang up. Very irritating and very unprofessional. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2036086xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with telemarketing calls, surveys, sometimes also accident chasers - insurance and PPI claims. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
