Received 2 calls to my mobile on Monday, one yesterday, just had another one today, I didn t answer as I didn t recognise the number, I recently set up a D/D to the RSPCA, so recently I ve only had one pavement go out so far, if this is on their behalf asking for me to increase my donation it s a bloody cheek! I have been called on about six occasions stating that I was involved recently in an motor accident and before I let them go on I told them no and then hung up. Being fed up with keep getting these calls I tried to phone it back only to find out that it is an invalid number. Obviously some sort of scam.

Sadly this IS British gas I phoned them and they admitted that yes they do make presumptive appointments for smart meter installs with the onus on the customer to cancel them The appointment was also on my British Gas online account There is currently NO obligation to have smart meters installed Sadly you cant cancel the appointment online you have to phone them Ive not cancelled yet but put my details in an online complaint and instructed them to cancel it If need be Ill make the call before the appointmen
