I am completely covered in scam calls from India where the fact that my number is on a government do-not-call list is completely ignored. Safe number Received a call from 03333440000 trying to give me a text message to my landline. I hung up. Then I decided to check them out and it turned out to be a GENUINE COMPANY called AQL who were simply trying to give me a message. I called 03333446527 to retrieve my message which was from a NHS supplier. The message was important to me! Why the NHS supplier chose to send a text to my landline when they have my mobile number is a mystery to me. No worries here.

I think this is a marketing call. No message left, but they tried twice and the same day I received a call from a similar number with 2 different digits - again no message. When I called it (blocking my own number) there's an automated number saying the office is closed and it's 'something' communications (I didn't catch the first word). I figure if it was important / genuine they'd leave a message.

Called saying they were advice something. They said my life vover was not adequate but couldn't give my name. Trying to sell life insurance fraud/scam.
Scam/phishing (Amazon Prime subscription renewal) Recorded message, female voice: 'dear customer...' asking about payment of £79 to renew Amazon subscription '...please press 1 to talk to a customer services representative.'
Phoned and left no message. Rang them back and no-one answered, just went dead. Annoying and likely Spam.

Maybe they are legit but they called me at gone 8pm just for a survey that could've been an email! They call quite often too, personally I just ignore them.
An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.
