Contacted on WhatsApp. Pretending to be my child with a new phone number due to dropping theirs in the sink. Asked if I could help pay some invoices. When asked to call my home number, stated can not do that at the moment. So total scam.

Call center: Indian sounding lady called me and asked for me by name. I asked why she was calling & she said again "Are you Mrs ****?" . I asked who wanted to know. She didn't say. Told her to hurry up as I was about to go out and she hung up. Other people have said this number is someone claiming to be from Domestic & General about an expired washing machine warranty.

Claimed to be from National Insurance Bureau and that I had been in an accident and I had ?3-4K to come as compensation. Foreign accent very difficult to understand. Very insistent bordering on unpleasant. Was on Gumtree yesterday posting an ad, sounds likely from other comments that they got my number from there.

Man with a strong Asian accent called one evening claiming to be from "Lloyds Bank" asking to talk to the "account holder" and confirm security details. This is a well known scam, they ask for the passcode, then use the passcode to enter your account, lock you out, order new handsets etc. and leave you with the £1,500 bill for a new iPhone.
