My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Cold Call from Assure Legal inviting me to make a fraudulent whiplash claim for the recent accident I didn t have. wanted to speak to the phone numbers previous owner (company mobile) who hasnt had this number for a few years...

No idea who this belongs to and I have no desire to find out...it doesn`t matter who it belongs to...I have not answered my landline phone for several years now as ALL the calls are from salespeople/scammers/fraudsters...the ONLY reason I have a landline now is due to having broadband although I don`t see why this is still necessary with today s technology...it is high time this nonsense was brought to an end.

Got a quote online following an advert on Facebook. Due to price decided not to take the offer & thought that’d be the end of it. BIG MISTAKE....4 calls within 5hrs & a total of 11 calls in 5 days. Number blocked & if I receive any further communication from them I’ll be contacting trading standards! Avoid at all costs!!!
